History

The concept for Palmetto Air & Water Balance arose from identifying a need for professional air and water balancing in Upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina. Penny Hinton educated herself in air and water balance technology and opened the company in 1989.

Palmetto Air & Water Balance was the first in both NC and SC to be certified by the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) and the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), and the company is a Certified Woman Owned Business.

The company has expanded to more than 75 employees and serves its clients from its headquarters in Greenville/Greer SC, and branch offices in Asheville NC, Charlotte NC, and Raleigh NC.
